The Condom Distribution Program

LP has been providing condoms to the communities of Brooklyn, Bronx  Queens to engage in Safer Sex practices. The condom distribution is facilitated in the community on the streets that have the largest consumer traffic and usually lasts 5 to 6 hours. In addition to the above, we continuously provide to various businesses.  LP has also engaged in condom distribution at concerts and community events such as the Grace Jerk Festival in Queens.

During the outreach staff educate the community about the basic HIV/AIDS statistics and usage of the condoms. In addition to the above, staff answers numerous questions about the effectiveness of condoms, HIV testing sites and encourage the public to call Living Positive to replenish their supply of condoms. As a result of the feedback from the community the condom distribution now provides: oral sex condoms, dental dams, Trojan condoms and female condoms.
